It’s almost like the game is setting a new record every month, and the latest one seems amazing. It was revealed a few hours ago that Counter-Strike 2’s peak concurrent player count on Steam has reached 1.82 million. The game’s last record was 1.74 million, indicating a significant jump in the number of concurrent players.

While Counter-Strike 2 has reached a peak of 1.82 million concurrent players on Steam, free-to-play battle royale game PUBG is right behind it with a peak of 659,000 concurrent players on Steam. This shows that none of the online multiplayer games on Steam can currently come close to matching Counter-Strike 2’s popularity. However, the game’s success doesn’t end there. Counter-Strike 2 is currently the most popular game on Twitch, with around 381,000 concurrent viewers at the time of writing. The next most popular games on Twitch are Just Chatting with 316,000 and Dota 2 with 183,000 concurrent viewers.
